    Mumbai: Technical snag at Borivali affects services on Western Railway; chaos erupts among commuters

    On Monday morning, train services on the Western line were affected after a technical snag was reported near Borivali station. According to the officials, there has been a point failure near the Borivali station rendering services nonoperational from platforms 1 and 2. The trains, officials said, are running 15-20 minutes late.


    The Western Railway, commenting on the same said, "Due to some technical issues of cable being cut, point no 107/108, point no 111/112 & point no 131/132 are not operational currently therefore Suburban trains not being operated from platform nos 1 & 2 of Borivali Station. Trains are being operated from platforms nos 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 from Borivali station."
    "Passenger kindly note. Due to a technical failure at Borivali station, all Slow suburban trains are running late by 15 to 20 minutes. The inconvenience caused to passengers is deeply regretted," DRM wrote in a social media post.
