FDI norms in certain sectors likely to be eased under new government: DPIIT Secretary

India has recently eased restrictions on foreign direct investment in the space sector. There is a chance of more liberalization of FDI in other areas when the new government takes office, according to a senior official on Saturday. Rajesh Kumar Singh, the Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), mentioned that India has relaxed its FDI policy in various sectors over the past few years.
