Illuminating Lord Rams abode: How Ayodhya went wireless and cleaned up skies
Amid the celestial glow and devotional zeal, a quieter tale stirs under Ayodhya Dhams soil. Burdened by tangled overhead cable, the town was yearning for a transformation. So back in 2021, MVVNL launched a mega Rs 190 crore project, whose focus was to lay down every wire hanging in the five-km circumference of Ram temple, under the ground. Officials sad over 800km-long power cables, including 407km-long lT cables, 204km-long service cables, 124km 33 kV and 62km 11 kV transmission cables, have been laid beneath the soil, giving a clear view of lanes heading to temple.
