Petrol and diesel prices: Check rates in major cities on May 15
Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged in major cities on Monday as state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) continue to hold rates despite falling global crude oil prices. There have been no major changes in petrol and diesel prices for nearly a year. The prices of petrol and diesel saw no change in major cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru. In Delhi, a litre of petrol costs Rs 96.72, while diesel price remained steady at Rs 89.62. In Mumbai, petrol continues to retail at Rs 106.31 per litre, while diesel costs Rs 94.27 per litre. Some smaller cities, however, continue to witness price fluctuations on a daily basis due to several factors such as VAT, freight charges and other local taxes. Source - India Today
