    After days of pleasant weather, heatwave likely in most parts of India, temp to reach 45 degrees Celsius

    #Heatwave is likely to make a comeback in most parts of India this week after days of pleasant weather, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

    According to the IMD forecast, parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and central India are expected to record temperatures as high as 45 degrees Celsius.

    Delhi and its neighbouring areas are likely to witness temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

    HOT WEATHER CONDITIONS
    Heatwave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets in Gangetic West Bengal between May 9 and May 11, the IMD said.

    Hot and sultry weather conditions are expected to prevail over Konkan and Goa on May 10 and May 11 and coastal Odisha between May 9 and May 12.

    Maximum temperatures are predicted to increase by 3-5 degrees Celsius over most parts of the country during the next five days, according to the weather department.
