AI enhances first-ever image of black hole: It looks like a skinny...

Four years after a group of physicists and astronomers turned the entire planet into a giant telescope to click the first-ever image of a black hole, the picture has now got a makeover.
Astrophysicists have now pressed in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the image of M87*, the black hole in the center of the M87 galaxy.
“Since we cannot study black holes up close, the detail of an image plays a critical role in our ability to understand its behavior.
The width of the ring in the image is now smaller by about a factor of two, which will be a powerful constraint for our theoretical models and tests of gravity,” Medeiros added.
