Indian equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 started Tuesday's session in the green, amid mixed cues across global markets as investors weighed earnings optimism with the possibility of a prolonged period of steep hikes in benchmark interest rates and the outcome of US President Joe Biden's surprise visit to Ukraine. The small finance bank's board meets today to consider an interim dividend for the financial year 2022-23. The Sensex rises 159.5 points to touch 60,851.1 at the strongest level of the day so far, and the Nifty50 climbs to as high as 17,905.9, up 61.3 points from its previous close. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan is down 0.6 per cent at this hour.
