After months of anticipation, the Reserve Bank of India on Friday released a concept note on the digital currency. Here's how cryptocurrency, CBDC, and digital money differ from each other: Digital Rupee The Reserve Bank of India has defined CBDC as a legal tender issued by a central bank in a digital form. It is the same as a fiat currency and is exchangeable one-to-one with the fiat currency. There are nine countries that have fully launched their CBDCs.
