    Center Approves ₹19,500 Crore PLI Scheme For Solar PV Modules

    New Delhi: The Cabinet Approved On Wednesday An Incentive Diet Linked To 19,500 Crores Of Crores (PLI) On The "National Program On High Effective PV Solar Modules" In Order To Attract 94,000 Crores Of Crores In The Sector.One Of The Expected Advantages Of The PLI Scheme Is That Around 65,000 MW Per Year Of Manufacturing Capacity Of Fully And Partially Integrated PV Solar Modules Would Be Installed. Giving An Explanation Of The Decision Of The Cabinet, Minister For Information And Broadcasting Anurag Thakur Said That About Two Lakh Jobs Will Be Created Directly In The Sector.

    The National Program Seeks To Create An Ecosystem For The Production Of High-Quality Solar PV Modules In India And Reduce The Dependence On Imports In The Field Of Renewable Energy. The Plan Is Expected To Reduce Import Substitution By Up To 1.37 Lakh Crore.

    Solar Photovoltaic Panel Manufacturers Will Be Selected Through A Clear Selection Process. The PLI Will Be Granted For 5 Years After The Operation Of The Photovoltaic Solar Module Manufacturing Plant To Encourage The Sale Of Photovoltaic Solar Modules In The Domestic Market.
