World Peace Day 2022: Theme, when and how?

The International Day of Peace is celebrated on September 21 all over the world. The General Assembly of the United Nations celebrates this day by promoting the concept of peace between nations and peoples by protecting non-violence and a ceasefire for 24 hours. This year's theme is “Stop Racism. Make peace.

According to the United Nations, true peace includes not only non-violence, but "the rule of society where all members feel they can do well". He also wants to build a world where everyone is treated the same, regardless of race. The UN declared in 1981, this day provides "an international day for all people to engage in peace above all conflicts and contribute to building a culture of peace".

Also known as World Peace Day, it was only later in 2001 that the official day was declared as September 21. Until then, it was observed at the opening session of the Annual General Meeting on the third Tuesday of September. To commemorate this day, the United Nations Peace Bell rings at the UN headquarters in New York. Japan was awarded the Peace Bell by the United Nations in June 1954. The bell was struck with coins and medals given by the representatives of member states, the Pope and people, including children from 60 different countries supported his idea. The bell tower is designed as a Hanamido (small temple decorated with flowers) which represents the birthplace of Buddha.

Peace is sounded twice a year: on the first day of spring, on the vernal equinox, and on September 21 to celebrate the International Day of Peace.
