Rs 2,000 notes discontinued, here’s how you can use Amazon to exchange them

Back in May, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) withdrew the Rs 2,000 notes from circulation as a part of the ‘clean note policy’. The central bank clarified that the Rs 2000 notes will continue to be legal tender till September 30.
But, soon after the announcement, stores, shops and local vendors stopped accepting the Rs 2,000 notes. That said, citizens have the option to take their Rs 2000 notes and get it exchanged with other denominations. However, a limit has been set and users only have the option to get up to Rs 20,000 converted in cash. However, there’s no limit set for getting the amount deposited into their bank accounts.

To make things simpler, Amazon has also facilitated a new service called ‘cash load at doorstep’. The service allows Amazon customers to pay the delivery person in Rs 2,000 denominations and get the amount deposited into their Amazon Pay balance. But, there are certain limitations and criteria in place to be able to use this service and in this article, we will tell you everything you need to know about it including how to use the cash load at doorstep service.

Cashload at doorstep service by Amazon allows users to convert their high-value notes for digital transactions. This means users can pay the delivery person in Rs 2000 denominations and get the amount deposited into their Amazon Pay balance.
