India vs Australia, 1st Test, Day 3 Live Updates: Ravindra Jadeja fell early on Day 3, becoming debutant Todd Murphy's sixth wicket as the pitch showed a lot of turn and uneven bounce early. On Day 2, Rohit Sharma became the first Indian captain to hit a century across all three formats after which Jadeja and Axar almost batted Australia out of the match as India ended the second day on a strong position. Rohit's century on Day 2 of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy's first Test match is what kept the Indian innings together as Australia kept coming back at them every time it looked like the hosts were pulling away, before the Jadeja-Axar stand. Rohit slammed 120 runs off 212 deliveries, packed with 15 fours and to sixes, before losing his wicket to his Australia counterpart Pat Cummins. After Rohit's dismissal, Jadeja and Axar made the visitors feel the heat. Jadeja has hit nine fours thus far in his innings while Axar hit eight fours on the second day. Source - Hindustan Times
