During the Super Over, India posted 20 for one with Smriti Mandhana registering 13 off three balls to remain unbeaten. In response to a target of 21 runs, Australia could only reach 16 for one. Initially, the visitors posted 187 for one in 20 overs, with Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath hitting unbeaten knocks. Mooney slammed an unbeaten knock of 82 runs off 54 balls and McGrath hammered an unbeaten knock of 70 runs off 51 balls. For India's bowling department, Deepti Sharma bagged a dismissal. Chasing a target of 188 runs, India reached 187 for five, courtesy of a four by Richa Ghosh in the final over which tied the match. Mandhana was the sole anchor for India's innings with a knock of 79 runs off 49 balls. Meanwhile, Heather Graham took three wickets for the Aussies.
