Rohit Sharma's first reaction to Jay Shah and PCB's comments over Asia Cup, World Cup: 'No point thinking about it'
Rohit Sharma was asked about the ongoing situation between BCCI and PCB ahead of the India vs Pakistan Super 12 T20 World Cup match in Melbourne and the Indian captain said the respective boards will take the call. In his first reaction to the ongoing BCCI vs PCB debate over hosting the Asia Cup in 2023, India captain Rohit Sharma quite expectedly said they are currently focussed on the job at hand, which is the T20 World Cup in Australia. The India captain also added that they are looking forward to starting their tournament by performing well against Pakistan on Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. There were strong reactions from the Pakistan cricket fraternity including asking the PCB to withdraw from the T20 World Cup match against India after BCCI secretary and Asian Cricket Council president Jay Shah announced that India won't be travelling to Pakistan for next year's Asia Cup and that the tournament will be held in a neutral venue.
