Sonu Sood on mission to educate the young

The work never ends for Sonu Sood, who continues to rehabilitate the affected patients. After helping migrants return home during the 2020 lockdown, the actor turned his attention to the education sector. Always encouraging young people to focus on education, in May this year Sood helped 11-year-old Sonu Kumar gain admission to a school in Patna. He took care of all his expenses, but that was not enough for the actor. Now, she plans to open two primary schools in Bihar for underprivileged children and a skill center for women.

Although his main purpose of going to Bihar on Wednesday was to attend The Face of Pataliputra - a fashion show at Bapu Auditorium in Patna, which laid the red carpet for big wigs from the world of film and fashion, along with him. The Sood Charity also conducted a survey of the schools. He hopes to help schools build their infrastructure for children whose parents have lost their jobs due to the disease. "It is for children and families in need, who have lost their breadwinners and can no longer go to school, or learn skills to earn a living," Sood says, adding and she met the family at the fashion show. “I am planning to open two schools in Patna for poor children, I will see those places myself. We are also building a school in Punjab, which will be operational by March next year,” said the actor, who opened a skill development center for women in Mangalore. We are planning another center near Patna to empower women and help them become self-sufficient. This is a model that we have worked successfully across India. Professionals will teach them sewing, design, computer coding, etc. It has been waiting for a long time in Bihar. He intends to meet people during his stay in the state to formulate his plans.

Based on her mother's teachings, she says, “My mother always taught one thing - if you want to teach someone, teach them. Empower them and empower them. He will teach the children for free. Hoping to continue her mother's legacy, Sood has already taken 21,000 children under her wing. "When you teach someone, you are not only supporting one person, but also the whole family and generations to come," he concluded.
