Mother Dairy Expects 20% Revenue Growth In FY23 To Rs 15,000 Crore

Delhi-NCR milk supplier Mother Dairy is expecting a 20% growth in revenue this financial year to around Rs 15,000 crore for better products, said its managing director Manish Bandlish.
The turnover of Mother Dairy, which also sells edible oil and fruits and vegetables, stood at Rs 12,500 crore in the last financial year. "We expect our revenue to grow by 20% this financial year to around Rs 15,000 crore," Manish Bandlish, managing director of Mother Dairy Fruits and Vegetables Pvt Ltd, told PTI on part of the IDF World Dairy Summit held last week in Greater. Noida.

He said that growth will be both increased in quantity and quality of different milk products will be promoted. "We're seeing a lot of demand for our whole milk and other dairy products. Ice cream sales have increased significantly over the summer," Bandlish said. Ice cream sales were affected in the summer of 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic-induced closure.

Last month, Mother Milk raised the price of milk by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR due to increased cost of supply and other inputs. He also raised the price of milk by one amount in March this year.

"Our milk supply has increased by another Rs 2 per liter after we increased the retail price last month," Bandlish said. When asked if the trading price will increase, he replied, "We can consider it after 3-4 months if this trend is high and the entry price continues. "

Animal feed prices have increased dramatically, forcing farmers to raise their selling prices. As a result, the cost of providing milk to the dairy industry has increased and part of the increase has already been passed on to consumers. Besides milk, Bandlish said Mother Dairy's edible oils, fresh fruits and vegetables and businesses are doing well.

In addition to bread, Mama Milk will introduce new products to offer to customers visiting its milk kiosks at Safal locations. Mother Dairy, commissioned in 1974, is a subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).

It was conceived as a plan of "Operation Flood", the world's largest dairy development program launched to make India a dairy-sufficient country. Mother Dairy manufactures, markets and sells milk and milk products including traditional products, ice cream, paneer and ghee under the brand name "Mother Dairy".
